We all know that puppies need their mothers. Poor little Twizzler was five weeks old (as of 9/8/12) and was found wondering without his mama! We don't know what happened to her or his siblings. Sadly his only traveling companions were the fleas and ear mites that had hopped a ride. Twizzler was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. During some frisky play time with a larger dog, he suffered a fracture to his rear leg. Twizz is restricted to cage rest when his humans can't watch him and we do expect a complete recovery in a few short weeks. Twizzler is a typical puppy who hasn't let one little cast dampen his spirit. He loves new adventures, people, and other dogs. This energetic pup loves to play with toys, his favorite human, or other canine playmates. In typical puppy-fashion, he is always "up to something" and just like a human baby needs to be monitored and kept safe. Twizzler is crate trained and will use puppy/training pads when nature calls, although he prefers to potty outside. Just like a human baby, Twizz has learned that when his foster mama says, "no", she means business. We suspect that Twizzler may be a cockapoo or cocker pom mix who is estimated to weigh 10-15 lbs. when full grown. Whatever his mix, I'm sure you'll agree that he is beyond cute and deserves the very best family to love him forever!
